Hi,
I forgot to mention about the compiler. It is xlf 8.1
For queueing system, we use Sun Grid Engine.We have
physically two queue systems , one with 1 GB ethernet
connection, second one with myrinet. I was about to
think that the response function calculations crashed
due to xlf compiler I/O statements (open (unit=0,5,6)
complaints). I had difficult time to figure it out
because everytime it crashed at a different
perturbation stage. I suspected first the compiler
(xlf 8.1). I was thinking to play around with
different compilers. But as you mentioned it might be
due to NFS issue also.
By taking your experience into account , I will
talk with our system admin .
