There is a "problem" about g95. Thought it is "supposed" to be GPL
licensed its code is not available. Then you can't compile it
yourself. Suppose now that you use a not so standard distro on a not
so standard machine (it is my case fc4 on intel EMT64) you just can't
use it. Not withstanding the non respect of the code's license which
moraly is a problem.

Those two resaons led me to use gfortran. And it happens to be able to
make abinit and to succeed in the test process. At least after gcc-4.1
