Sorry, I haven't used a unix style PC in over six years, I just set it up so 
I could use some of these modeling programs, so I'm not that comfortable yet 
with all the shell commands.  Anyway, file ../abinis gives the response I 
wrote before: ELF 64-bit etc.

That sounds reasonable that I won't be able to use a 64 bit version, but do 
you know where I get a 32-bit?  The Abinit website only has one download 
option for g95 compilers that I can see.
