Yann:
You are right. I'm using now version 5.1.2 for my "developmental"
purpose, and indeed editing Makefile is inconvenient. I have a .ac file
under the abinit main folder with the following options in use:
CPP="/usr/ccs/lib/cpp"
ac_cv_path_AR="ar -X64"
CC="xlc_r"
CXX="xlC_r"
with_cxx_optflags= "-O2 -g -qnoipa -q64 -qarch=pwr4 -qtune=pwr4 -qfree -
qalias=noaryovrlp"
with_cxx_ldflags="-L/usr/local/apps/mass -lmassvp4 -lmass"
FC= "mpxlf90_r"
with_fortran_optflags= "-qsuffix=cpp=F90 -O2 -g -qnoipa -q64 -qarch=pwr4
-qtune=pwr4 -qalias=noaryovrlp"
with_fortran_ldflags="-L/usr/local/apps/mass -lmassvp4 -lmass -
L/usr/lpp/ppe.poe/lib -lmpi_r"
enable_mpi="yes"
with_mpi_include="/usr/lpp/ppe.poe/include"
with_mpi_lib="/usr/lpp/ppe.poe/lib"
with_maloc="yes"
with_include_dir="/usr/lpp/ppe.poe/include"
with_mpi_prefix="/usr/lpp/ppe.poe/"
with_mpi_fc="/usr/ccs/lib/cpp"
with_mpi_cppflags="-I/usr/lpp/ppe.poe/include"
with_mpi_cc="mpcc_r"
with_mpi_cxx="mpCC_r"
with_mpi_fc="mpxlf90_r"
with_mpi_fcflags="-qsuffix=cpp=F90 -O2 -g -qnoipa -q64 -qarch=pwr4 -
qtune=pwr4 -qalias=noaryovrlp"
with_mpi_fortran_ldflags="-L/usr/local/apps/mass -lmassvp4 -lmass -
L/usr/lpp/ppe.poe/lib -lmpi_r"
MPI_LDFLAGS="-L/usr/local/apps/mass -lmassvp4 -lmass -
L/usr/lpp/ppe.poe/lib -lmpi_r"
with_mpi_run="/usr/lpp/ppe.poe/bin/poe abinip -np 2"
with_lapack_prefix="/usr/local/apps/scalapack"
