Hi,

I see similar behavior if I use the Intel compiler with optimization. Several test cause core dumps. So far I think it's a problem with the Intel compiler, because other compilers work fine. Intel without optimization works, as did a beta version of the Intel 11 compiler. (10.1 and 11 fail)
However I have this problem with 5.4.4p as well.
I never tried the pgi compiler.

As hint I would try compiling without optimization and see whether it works then. (I know that will not help in the end)

Best regards,
Samuel

Dear friends,
Recently, I successfully compiled abinit5.6.4 using the following parameters,
but when I ran the tests, many failed except those in v1. However, none of the
tests failed when I did the same thing in abinit5.4.4p. Is there anyone who
can
give me some hints? Thanks a lot. FC="/opt/pgi/linux86-64/7.1/mpi/mpich/bin/mpif90" with_fc_optflags="-O2"
enable_mpi="yes" with_mpi_prefix="/opt/pgi/linux86-64/7.1/mpi/mpich"

p.s. When I run one of the failed tests manually, it exports "Segmentation
fault".
