Dear Mr. Conesa,

I also downloaded the abinit-5.2.3 but it was a uncompiled source. Firstly I
made a directory in which I will work, making its name 'workshop'. Then I
compiled it by using the following command,
../configure FC=g95
because I used g95 compiler as Fortran 90 compiler. And then
make
After compiling, many executables were created in '/src/main'.

In order to try the problem you said, I tried as follow,
make test1
At that time the results were born in
'tests/built-in/,,built-in_Linux_20061011'. That is, the program acted
correctly.

I recomend you to compile and run source.
