Hi,

After further reading on the binary archives, it seems that the tests suite is totally broken. I'll discuss with Dr. Gonze about rebuilding some new binary archives with functional testing facilities.

Before doing that, I propose a patch for testing:
http://www.abinit.org/wws/d_read/forum/patchForTest.tar.bz2

Download this file, go in the directory of your binary archive (example /home/caliste/tmp/abinitbin-5.2.3) and untar the patch (using bzip2 as compress tool).

It will update the perl scripts and the Makefile. It will also add the references for tests v[1..5].

Then, type for 5 simple tests:
caliste@tintin:abinitbin-5.2.3$ make tests_in
Or for extensive tests (use tests_v1 or tests_v2...):
caliste@tintin:abinitbin-5.2.3$ make tests_v1

I'm interested to know if the modifications I've done on the Perl scripts are efficient. If yes, I'll move then to the devel tree of ABINIT.

Regards,

Damien.
